Job summary

Camber Mental Health, a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems, seeks a Medical Coding Specialist to ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding. You will bridge clinical providers with Revenue Cycle, aiding in compliant reimbursements and fiscal accountability.

This hybrid role requires local presence in the Kansas City area, with on-site work at least once per month and occasional travel between departments. Two years of hospital/healthcare coding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of medical coding experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Must be local to the Kansas City, MO metro area.
• Certifications CPC, CIC, or CPMA are required.
• On-site presence at least once per month and some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Translate medical/psychiatric data into CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
• Collaborate with clinicians to improve coding practices and meet standards.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle Management to resolve claims and improve payments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and support multi-department teams.
• Utilize EHR/HRIS to track data, report coding trends, and follow payer guidelines.
