Job summary

Presbyterian Medical Services, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator (20 hours/week) to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking behavioral health services.

The role involves comprehensive psychosocial and diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and coordinating referrals to community resources to ensure timely access to care. Licensed mental health professionals with independent licensure will collaborate with clients, families, and partners to

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
• Determine medical necessity and appropriate levels of behavioral health care.
• Provide crisis intervention, triage services, and short-term support during urgent situations.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external behavioral health and community resources.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new client inquiries and service requests.
• Complete intake screenings, registration processes, and required documentation.
• Provide active case management and follow-up to ensure successful connection to services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support positive client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in outreach, community education, and performance improvement activities.
