Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Suicide Prevention Coordinator to manage and advocate for behavioral health grant programming across the SEARHC region. The role organizes, budgets, and evaluates strategies and interventions to improve community health outcomes.

Work includes grant reporting, liaison duties with funding organizations, and developing policy and environmental changes in collaboration with SEARHC staff across divisions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in health related or business field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of relevant health or social services experience may substitute for degree.
• Healthcare leadership training/certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Advocate for Alaska Native/American Indian hiring preference and mentor employees.
• Administer health education strategies and programs per approved work plans.
• Communicate and advocate for behavioral health; influence policy and SEARHC resources.
• Implement health education policies, strategies, and programs.
• Track and report budgets per grantor requirements and SEARHC systems
