Job summary

Alexander Youth Network seeks a Behavioral Health Counselor for the Greensboro, NC area. This part-time, 3rd shift position involves direct care for children in a treatment setting, coordinating and monitoring activities, and implementing therapeutic interventions as part of our Model of Care.

You will monitor clients in crisis, report to therapeutic and medical staff, and participate in 1-to-1 client monitoring when appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related human service field preferred.
• Four years of experience in mental health preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and monitor direct care activities for clients in the treatment environment.
• Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities consistent with the agency's Model of Care.
• Offer interventions to assist in maintaining consumer baseline behaviors.
• Provide continuous monitoring of clients in crisis and report behaviors to staff.
• Participate in 1-to-1 monitoring of clients when deemed appropriate.
