Alexander Youth Network in Greensboro, NC is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Counselor to provide, coordinate and monitor direct care activities for clients in a treatment environment.

You will develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities aligned with the agency's Model of Care, offering appropriate interventions to support consumer baseline behaviors and crisis monitoring in collaboration with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BA/BS in a related human service field preferred.
• Four years of experience in Mental Health preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.

Responsabilités

• Provide, coordinate, and monitor direct care activities for clients.
• Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities aligned with the Model of Care.
• Offer interventions to maintain consumer baseline behaviors.
• Monitor clients in crisis and report behaviors to staff.
• Participate in 1 to 1 monitoring when appropriate.

What You'll Do:

• Provide, coordinate, and monitor a variety of direct care activities for the clients in our treatment environment.
• Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities consistent with the agency's Model of Care.
• You'll offer appropriate interventions to assist in maintaining consumer baseline behaviors.
• You will provide continuous monitoring of clients in crisis and report behaviors to therapeutic and medical staff.
• You will also participate in 1 to 1 monitoring of clients when deemed appropriate.
