Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is seeking an Activity Aide/Coordinator to plan, schedule, and implement life skills and leisure activity programs for patients under the direction of the Director of Activity Therapy.

You will assess patients within 72 hours of admission, set meaningful goals on the master treatment plan, and maintain cleanliness and readiness of therapy spaces while leading regular activity groups. Excellent judgement and clinical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field preferred.
• Experience in activity therapy setting is a plus.
• Excellent judgement and clinical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess each patient within 72 hours of admission and document in the progress notes.
• Develop goals on the master treatment plan that are meaningful to the patient.
• Share responsibility for cleanliness, orderliness, and inventory of activity therapy areas.
• Plan and run a variety of activity therapy groups weekly.
• Demonstrate excellent judgement and clinical skills in all duties.
