Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, part of Universal Health Services, seeks an Expressive Therapist Aide/Coordinator to plan, schedule and implement life skills and leisure activity programs for patients.

You will assess patients within 72 hours of admission, contribute to treatment planning, and maintain activity spaces, while supporting the Director of Activity Therapy. A Master’s degree or Expressive Arts certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each patient, within 72 hours of admission, using the activity therapy assessment form and documents in progress notes.
• Develops goals on the master treatment plan of each patient, ensuring goals are meaningful and understood by the patient.
• Share responsibility for the cleanliness, orderliness, and inventory of all activity therapy areas.
• Plans and implements a variety of activity therapy groups weekly as specific programs require.
• Excellent judgment and clinical skills are essential for this position.
