The Activity Aide/Coordinator is a key member of the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System Activity therapy team. The Activity Aide/Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing life skills and leisure activity programs for the patients based on appropriate developmental, social, and emotional stages of each patient under the direction of the Director of Activity Therapy. The Activity Aide/Coordinator plans activities to meet the specific needs of the patient population including patient with physical limitations.

• Assesses each patient, within 72 hours of admission, using the activity therapy assessment form and provides documentation of such in the progress notes.
• Develops goals on the master treatment plan of each patient, ensuring that the goals are meaningful to the patient and that the patient understands the purpose.
• Share responsibility for the cleanliness, orderliness, and inventory of all activity therapy areas.
• Plans and implements a variety of activity therapy groups weekly as specific programs require.
• Excellent judgment and clinical skills are essential for this position.
