Centria Autism in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while supporting families, with comprehensive training and the chance to obtain an RBT certification after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team.
• 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and track progress.
• Collaborate with a BCBA and multidisciplinary team to support each child and family.
