Job summary

Centria Autism in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA. You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training, and the role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of daily activities.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Job duties include sitting and standing from floor or chair multiple times a day.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Moving quickly as needed to ensure child safety and interaction.
