Job summary

Caravel Autism Health in Rockford, IL is seeking a Behavior Technician who will support children with autism using ABA techniques, with paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). No prior behavioral health experience required; must be 18+, HS diploma or GED; 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Mon–Fri with possible Saturdays for make-up sessions.

Competitive hourly pay $18.50–$20.00 and full-time benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RBT within 75 days of employment.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with children with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in 1:1 sessions using ABA techniques.
• Document progress and report outcomes to supervisors.
• Implement client treatment plans and targets.
• Help develop communication and independence in daily activities.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field preferred
