Job summary

Centria Autism is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children, delivering individualized intervention plans under BCBA supervision. You will apply evidence-based methods to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and collaborative, with a willingness to complete onboarding and obtain the RBT certification. This role involves physical activity and standing, with pay range listed below.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed to support clients.
• Ensure safe interactions and respond quickly to challenging situations as required.
