Job summary

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized plans under supervision. You’ll teach communication, social, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors in a supportive, structured environment.

The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. Training is provided, and the job involves physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods in Farmington Hills, MI.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a TB test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Sitting down and standing up from the floor or chair many times throughout the day.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
• Moving quickly as needed to interact with and protect clients.
