Job summary

Centria Healthcare in Shelby Township, MI is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, under the supervision of a BCBA, implementing individualized intervention plans and teaching essential skills using evidence-based methods.

We provide comprehensive training; candidates must be 18+, with a HS diploma or GED, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Motivated to help children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend)
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with the team to support each child’s progress.
