Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA. You will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based methods while maintaining a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Excellent training is provided; no prior experience required. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed during activities.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, kneel, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Support reducing interfering behaviors through targeted strategies.
• Assist with safe handling and movement of children, including lifting up to 50 pounds when needed.
