Job summary

ABA Support Services in Scranton, PA seeks a Behavioral Health Technician/Direct Therapist. The role organizes data collection, assists with assessments and program implementation, and may lead sessions in the temporary absence of senior staff.

Responsibilities include data management, progress notes, parent training, and collaboration with therapists and school community teams to deliver behavioral programs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with autism in clinics, home, or school settings.
• Provide direct services to children with autism and train parents.
• Willing to learn an early learning curriculum and behavioral principles.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to work with children across functioning levels in home, school, and community environments.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
• Assist lead therapist in maintaining graphs and data summaries.
• Write progress notes and update programs; prepare session materials.
• Assist with baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
• Prepare and clean session areas and materials; assist with related activities.
• Disseminate protocols; review protocols and train staff/parents.
• Use safe handling and guidance procedures when transporting clients.
• Provide direct client care per prescribed behavioral programs; may be 1:1 or group.
• Shadow or co-treat for 2–4 hours per week.
• Report parent concerns to the lead therapist.
