Qualifications

• Experience in clinic, home, or school settings is desirable.
• At least 1 year providing direct services to children with autism and training parents.
• Willingness to learn early learning curricula and apply behavioral principles.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work with children across a range of functioning levels (ASD).
• Motivated with high quality work and minimal supervision.
• Able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
• Assist lead therapist with graphs, data summaries, and data calculation.
• Write progress notes, update programs, and prepare session materials.
• Support baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
• Prepare and clean session areas and materials.
• Disseminate protocols, review protocols, and train staff/parents.
• Use safe handling and guidance when transporting clients.
• Provide direct client care per behavioral protocols; may be one-on-one or group.
• Assume lead therapist duties during absences.
• Shadow or co-treat for 2–4 hours weekly.
• Report parent concerns to the lead therapist.
• Report suspected child abuse within 24 hours.
