Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based or community settings, assisting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental needs.

You will work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement behavior plans and track progress. The role emphasizes building social and communication skills, supporting families, and delivering structured, encouraging sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
