Job summary

BlueSprig is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver ABA therapy in center-based and home-based settings. You will teach communication, social, behavioral, and self-help skills to children with autism, working one-on-one or in small groups and recording progress data.

The role offers paid training, on-site BCBA support, career growth, and benefits for full-time staff. Immediate openings and flexible scheduling in Santa Cruz county.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Comfortable with physical activity (lift up to 50 lbs) and varied positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide ABA therapy in center-based and/or home-based settings.
• Teach communication, social, behavioral, and self-help skills to children with autism.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with clients.
• Collect and record data to track client progress.
• Provide written and verbal updates regarding treatment goals and progress.
• Collaborate with families, supervisors, and team members.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and workshops for ongoing development.
• Follow all company policies and confidentiality requirements.

Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Pay, Benefits & Perks

• Competitive pay:

• $22.00–$23.00/hour for billable RBT hours based on experience

• Once you have completed Behavior Technician (BT) training, but prior to completing RBT Certification, you will receive 19.0 for each billable client hour worked

• 17.00/hour paid for all non-billable training and administrative time

• Candidates with an active RBT certification at the time of hire will receive a $200-bonus on their first paycheck

• Fully paid training — no experiencerequired

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time

• Schedule:

• Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Hours vary based on client needs and scheduling

• Optional Saturdays available twice per month based on client needs

• Hours are not guaranteed

• Start Date:

• Immediate openings available pending successful completion of onboarding and background check
• All training will take place in our Salinas center but sessions are all primarily within Santa Cruz county
