Job summary

Centria Autism in Virginia seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism by implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• CPR and First Aid Certification and TB test required
• Pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, reach) and lift up to 50 pounds
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding
• BACB Registered Behavior Technician Certification must be obtained

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and support child progress
• Receive comprehensive training to perform effectively in this role
