Step Forward ABA is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children in home and community settings in Illinois. You will implement evidence-based ABA techniques, monitor progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and social skills.

The role involves data collection, daily progress notes, and flexible scheduling with opportunities for professional development and growth. Travel to client sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass a National Criminal Background check.
• RBT Certification preferred and to be completed within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to engage physically with children (lift up to 30 lbs) in a fast-paced environment.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
• Must be willing to travel and work in-home settings.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using ABA techniques to promote independence and social skills.
• Teaching skills to enhance communication and functioning.
• Implementing and facilitating behavior plans, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Restructure environments to support positive outcomes and reduce problematic behaviors.
• Collect data and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities and advocate for individual needs.
• Completing daily progress notes and maintaining accurate records.
