Job summary

Step Forward ABA is hiring a Certified Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children, applying evidence-based ABA techniques to foster independence and social skills in a supportive setting.

You will teach communication skills, implement behavior plans, monitor outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed while collaborating with families, analysts, and peers. Travel to in-home settings is required; Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Pass a National Criminal Background check.
• Completion of CBT certification process within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel and work in-home settings.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
• Childcare or related experience preferred.
• Experience as direct support or paraprofessional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques to promote independence, social skills, and personal growth through fun and interactive activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
• Teaching skills to enhance communication and functioning.
• Implementing and facilitating behavior plans, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Restructuring environments to support positive outcomes and reduce problematic behaviors.
• Collecting data and maintaining accurate records.
• Communicating with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities and advocate for individual needs.
• Completing daily progress notes and maintaining accurate records.
