Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a dedicated individual to support a student with IEP goals in in-district or school-based settings.

You will work one-on-one with an assigned student, implement behavior support plans, track progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote safe, inclusive learning environments. Responsibilities include communicating with parents, providing personal care support as needed, and applying crisis de-escalation techniques to maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in the IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to maintain safety of students and staff.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports social and behavioral skill development.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored, including transportation between locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed by the student.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
