ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our Special Education team. You will implement targeted behavioral strategies, guide classroom practices, and support staff to improve student outcomes in a dynamic educational setting.

The role emphasizes proactive approaches, crisis de-escalation, and collaboration with IEP teams to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in a closely related field preferred.
• RBT credential preferred or in process.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience providing behavioral instruction in alternative/special education or behavioral health.
• Strong background in ABA, FBA, PBIS and BIP preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions in emergencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office tech.

Responsabilidades

• Implement targeted interventions to improve academic, social-emotional, behavioral and independent outcomes.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and model effective strategies for staff.
• Maintain records related to SBS and BIPs.
• Collect and analyze behavioral data with IEP teams.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Assist teachers with activities and supervision.
• Prepare documentation and ensure confidentiality and safety protocols.
• Adhere to safety protocols including CPR and First Aid.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
