Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an alternative education setting. You will design personalized learning experiences, deliver differentiated instruction, and manage IEP goals within a collaborative team environment.

You will utilize educational software, PBIS frameworks, and data-driven assessments to promote student growth and program success, while staying compliant with state standards and district

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining IL PEL credential.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining IL LBS1 credential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and create personalized lesson plans.
• Utilize diverse instructional methods and educational software.
• Develop, update and implement IEP goals and interventions.
• Maintain organized student files and comprehensive progress reports.
• Collaborate with co-teachers, parents, and administrators.
