Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our Special Education team. You will implement targeted interventions, model behavioral strategies, and maintain records to support student progress.

The role involves collaboration with IEP teams and direct support across multiple site locations. You will apply ABA principles under supervision, conduct functional behavior assessments, and help develop individualized behavior plans, ensuring safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Experience with ABA including FBA, PBIS or BIP preferred.
• Proficiency in communication and documentation.
• Comfort with data collection and MS Office.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement targeted interventions to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.
• Model effective behavioral strategies for staff.
• Maintain SBS and BIP documentation.
• Collect and chart behavioral data to monitor progress.
• Provide classroom staff with behavior management guidance.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation.
