Job summary

United Counseling Service of Bennington County Inc in Bennington, Vermont, seeks a Behavior Interventionist to provide behavioral support, intervention, and case management to students, fostering positive classroom adjustment and connections between home, school, and community.

The role involves direct service to students with emotional or behavioral difficulties, development of individualized behavior plans, collaboration with school staff, and thorough record keeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Analysis (preferred) or related field.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required either prior to hiring or within 30-days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• DIRECT SERVICE: Assist students with emotional and/or behavioral difficulties to participate in school. Teach social and coping skills.
• Assesses behaviors and creates individualized behavior plans; monitors progress.
• CASE MANAGEMENT: Coordinate services between school, home and community supports.
• CONSULTATION: Advise school staff and parents on behavioral plans; attend BI conference.
• RECORD KEEPING: Maintain documentation and time sheets as required.
