Job summary

South Burlington School District is seeking an Interventionist to provide specialized instructional and behavioral support to students in a district school. You will work with teachers, specialists, and families to implement IEPs and data-driven plans across settings including classrooms, lunchrooms, and field trips.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, CPI/CPR/First Aid certifications, and experience in education settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
• CPI, CPR, and First Aid certifications required; completion of Interventionist training within six months.
• One year or more in school or related setting preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of disabilities, laws, teaching principles and methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support as outlined by IEPs.
• Adapt materials and environment to support students’ access to standards.
• Collect data for progress and assist in planning instruction and interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure appropriate learning experiences.
• Maintain records and data for assigned students as required.
