Job summary

Mead School District is seeking a Behavior Intervention Technician at Colbert Elementary in Colbert, WA. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7 hours per day (8:00 am–3:30 pm), supporting students with behavioral, social, and adaptive needs under building administrators.

Data collection and de-escalation are key responsibilities. You will work with special and general education staff, provide professional development, and help ensure behavior plans are implemented consistently.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Behavior Tech or RBT is required.
• MANDT/Right Response training or ability to complete within the first year.
• Experience with students with disabilities and diverse groups.
• Current first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Washington State Special Education Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support focused on behavior, social, and adaptive skills.
• Collect and analyze data to guide interventions.
• De-escalation and crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff.
