Colbert Elementary is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with social, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral needs. You will provide instructional support, collect data, and assist in de-escalation strategies under administrator supervision.

The role involves collaborating with special and general education staff, maintaining confidential data, and delivering professional development on related topics. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, 7 hours daily.

Qualifications

• Experience as Behavior Tech/RBT or equivalent.
• MANDT or Right Response trained or willing to obtain within first year.
• Experience with children/youth with disabilities.
• Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural groups.
• Current first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly.
• WA Special Education Specialty Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide instructional support focused on behavior, social, and adaptive skills.
• Monitor student progress and implement reinforcement/de-escalation techniques.
• Document data on student behaviors and analyze trends.
• Coordinate with teachers and specialists on behavior interventions.
• Provide professional development on Special Education topics.
• Assist in ensuring behavior plans are implemented consistently.
