Job summary

DESERT WIND MIDDLE SCHOOL seeks an ESS Behavior Technician to support teachers with academic and behavioral strategies for students ages 5 through 21. This role includes implementing PBIPs, monitoring progress, and providing one-on-one interventions as outlined in IEPs.

Responsibilities feature assisting with classroom management, ensuring students stay on task, and documenting progress for MIPS billing while coordinating with the behavior program teacher to deliver consistent educational

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with state guidelines; PRAXIS or Work Keys accepted or college credits as alternative.
• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Valid AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with management and social skill training.
• Provide academic and behavioral support to students with positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate reports and data sheets on student progress.
• Record and report student progress to the ESS Behavior Program Teacher.
• Coordinate with ESS Behavior Teacher to ensure staff aware of student needs.
