Job summary

Spokane Public Schools is seeking a Behavior Intervention Paraeducator to support students with behavioral needs in a collaborative educational setting. You will assist teachers, implement BIPs, collect data, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for diverse learners across grades.

Qualifications

• Experience with students needing behavioral interventions and ability to de-escalate.
• Completion of CPI and district de-escalation training is required or preferred.
• Support students with moderate to severe behavior challenges in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance in core academic areas as directed by teachers.
• Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans and accommodations.
• Collect and record data to support progress monitoring and decision-making.
• Collaborate with BI teachers and teams to ensure consistent implementation.
• Assist with student safety, transport, personal care, and basic health procedures as needed.
