Job summary

Siloam Springs School District is seeking a Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional to support students with lagging social-emotional skills. You will work alongside the Behavior Interventionist and School Counselor to implement targeted interventions.

The role emphasizes data collection, small-group instruction, and collaboration with the leadership team to support RTI2 and behavior plans while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience working with early childhood or elementary students.
• Preferred: experience or training in behavioral needs or social-emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Behavior Interventionist, school counselor and administration on student progress.
• Collect intervention and behavioral data as needed.
• Provide interventions at the Tier II level as outlined by the Behavior Interventionist.
• Implement brain breaks, sensory breaks and sensory activities as directed.
• Support RTI2 framework implementation and maintain student confidentiality.
• Build positive relationships with individual students and small groups.
• Deliver social/emotional/behavioral interventions in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Model regulation skills and co-regulate with students when needed.
• Support Second Step and Conscious Discipline instruction and follow up with practice.
• Participate in training to learn new behavior modification strategies.
