Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with additional qualifications.
• 60 semester hours or PRAXIS completion.
• Demonstrate knowledge of reading, writing, and math instruction.
• Emotional maturity and stability for specialized work.
• General clerical skills and data entry experience.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and developmental assistance under supervision of a certified professional.
• Assist with preparation and implementation of learning activities.
• Maintain records of students' activities and behaviors, possibly using a computer.
• Respond to crisis intervention requests under certified personnel.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with strategies to reinforce learning based on students' needs.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality.
• Participate in in-service training.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
