Job summary

Behavioral Health seeks a dedicated Behavior Interventionist to support students with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors. Under supervision, you will implement individualized strategies, model de-escalation techniques, and collect data to guide progress across academic and therapeutic settings.

You will train paraprofessionals, collaborate with clinicians, and contribute to a safe, structured classroom culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s/Associate in psychology, education, behavioral science, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years experience in behavioral or school-based settings with challenged behaviors.
• Knowledge and use of function-based interventions, data collection, and behavioral assessment tools.
• RBT-level ABA training or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic, trusting relationships with students.
• Implement trauma-informed, evidence-based behavior interventions.
• Analyze function of behavior before responding with appropriate interventions.
• Provide consistent positive reinforcement and support.
• Train paraprofessionals on data collection and intervention fidelity.
• Collaborate with clinicians and teachers to monitor progress.
