Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in K-12 settings. You will work one-on-one to implement IEP goals, assist in behavior plan development, and track progress within a multidisciplinary team.

Role includes de-escalation and crisis management when necessary, promoting a positive classroom environment, and collaborating with parents and school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in development/modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement plans and record data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Use de-escalation techniques; crisis management when needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and social skills.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during school routes and activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed; communicate with parents.
