Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is seeking a Before Care Lead Youth Development Specialist to supervise and implement morning programs that focus on athletics, arts, STEM and education for youth before school. You will play a key role in guiding participants and ensuring safe, engaging activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct youth service, strong classroom management, and a background in teaching.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of direct youth service experience.
• Basic classroom management with ability to guide youth toward goals.
• Creative lesson planning with engaging, kid-friendly activities.
• Ability to adapt quickly and stay productive when plans change.
• Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with youth.
• Experience in supervising, coaching, and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement high-yield before-care activities in athletics, cultural arts, STEM and education.
• Deliver engaging programs and provide clear steps and tools for youth.
• Support and mentor staff to deliver quality youth programming.
