Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program. You will work with families, school staff, and the community to promote quality programming and safe, engaging activities.

Responsibilities include supervising students daily, enforcing licensing requirements, developing lesson plans, coordinating field trips, and participating in professional development.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Leader must be age 18 or over
• At least one of: 3 months (455 hours) of care supervision for 4+ children; or Level I credential as per ECP 3.0
• Annual 15 clock hours of training (June 1–May 31)
• Knowledge of childcare principles and practices
• Ability to develop discipline procedures
• Leadership and management abilities
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification current or obtain within 30 days

• Follows and enforces licensing requirements (Daily)
• Supervises and engages with students (Daily)
• Communicates with parents, staff and community (Daily)
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff (Daily)
• Promotes the program for before/after care and full days (Daily)
• Participates in professional development trainings (Daily)
• Assists with lesson plans and programming (Monthly)
• Assists with maintenance and proper storage of equipment (Monthly)
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities (Monthly)
• Plans and implements activities and field trips (Monthly)
• Attends monthly staff meetings (Monthly)
• Performs other duties as assigned (Daily)
