Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Must be age 18 or over.
• At least one of: 3 months (455 hours) of supervised care for four or more children not related, or Level I early childhood credential.
• Annual 15 clock hours of training between June 1 and May 31.
• Knowledge of childcare basics.
• Ability to develop discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management abilities.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce Colorado licensing requirements.
• Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and district.
• Maintain safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promote and market the program for before/after care.
• Attend professional development trainings as required.
• Assist to implement quality lesson plans for daily operation.
• Assist with equipment storage and repair.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Plan field trips for full day programming.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
