Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality child care program. You will help develop community relations and support the director in delivering engaging programming for before, after, and full-day activities.

The role requires adherence to licensing requirements, daily supervision of students, strong communication with families and staff, and ongoing planning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be age 18 or over.
• Must have 3 months (455 hours) of verified supervision experience with four or more children ages four and up, or a Level I credential in Early Childhood.
• Annual training: 15 clock hours from June 1 to May 31.
• Knowledge of childcare practices and ability to implement appropriate discipline.
• Ability to lead and manage, make decisions, and work well with others.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces Colorado licensing requirements on a daily basis.
• Supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Maintains excellent communication with parents, students, staff, and district personnel.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promotes the program to attract participation and markets before/after care.
• Participates in professional development trainings as required.
• Assists with implementing quality lesson plans and daily activities.
• Assists with equipment storage, maintenance, and repairs.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Creates activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attends monthly staff meetings; performs other duties as assigned.
