Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Some leadership and management skills.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and to solve problems effectively.
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Must demonstrate capability to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces licensing requirements.
• Supervises students during program times.
• Communicates effectively with parents, students, staff and district personnel.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promotes and markets the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attends required professional development trainings.
• Assists with creating and implementing lesson plans and activities.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and field trips.
• Participates in monthly program staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
