Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre‑K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year. The position follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon sessions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or 1 year of experience with children, TB health clearance, and a positive, reliable attitude. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work well with families and teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• TB health clearance required in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, such as attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
