Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre‑K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Beekman Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time, non‑exempt role follows the school calendar with morning and afternoon shifts. You will facilitate hands‑on activities, support student growth, and be a positive role model for children while partnering with families. Employer‑paid childcare is included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• TB health clearance per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
