Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Mark Newbie Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role offers a part-time schedule following the school calendar with shifts in the morning and/or afternoon.

The ideal candidate loves working with children, can maintain a positive, energetic environment, and can collaborate with families and teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred.
• Must pass all required state background checks.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
• Positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
