Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging environment for children ages 5–12, delivering activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, and coordinating with families and school staff. Part-time hours follow the school calendar, with morning and/or afternoon shifts available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of experience with children under 13).
• Health clearance including TB screening required.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability required.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and model positive behavior for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school rules.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing.
