Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a passionate Pre‑K Teacher Assistant to support four‑year‑olds as part of the Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 year.

You will work under the Lead Teacher to help implement lesson plans, supervise daily activities, and foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom. The role emphasizes play-based learning, safety, and development of early literacy and social-emotional skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Teacher Assistant Certification is required.
• Associate’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Pass all state background checks.
• Experience in childcare or classroom support preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher in lesson plans and daily routines.
• Assist with learning activities and classroom transitions.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate space.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Attend to individual student needs with planning.
• Maintain consistent attendance to support UPK program.
