Job summary

Laguna Elementary School in Scottsdale, part of Scottsdale Unified School District 48, is seeking a Childcare Provider 2 to support the before and after school program. You will help with planning activities and supervise students.

You will work about 2 hours daily at 6:45–8:45am with non-exempt status, and must meet staff qualifications and DPS FPCC clearance; first aid/CPR certification required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must meet staff qualifications to be a teacher-caregiver under Arizona rules.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and provide documentation of one of the listed qualifications.
• Must have valid DPS FPCC and background in early childhood education.
• Must hold first aid and CPR certification or obtain within 30 days.
• Experience in childcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain rapport with students, employees and community.
• Prepare site and activities prior to children’s arrival.
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Treat every child with respect.
• Maintain behavior standards per district policy.
• Inform Childcare Specialist of student activities.
• Share in clean-up activities.
• Complete 18 training hours annually or per regulations.

12 college credits including 6 in early childhood education

NAC, CDA, CCP, or CPC credential

Associate or bachelor degree in early childhood or related field
