Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Childcare Provider 2 to assist the Childcare Specialist with planning before and after school activities and supervise students in the Tavan Elementary School program. The position runs 2:15-6:15 pm, four hours daily.

Applicants must meet staff qualifications, hold a DPS FPCC, and have First Aid/CPR. Pay grade F; salary ranges from $17.36 to $18.06 per hour and is non-exempt. Immediate starting date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus childcare experience or college credits in early childhood education.
• Credit hours: 12 total with at least 6 in early childhood education and 6 months qualifying childcare experience.
• ECE credentials accepted (NAC, CDA, CCP, CPC) or degree in early childhood/related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain rapport with students, staff and community.
• Prepare site and activities before children arrive.
• Supervise children at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Maintain behavior standards per district policy.
• Keep supervisor informed of student activities.
• Participate in cleanup activities.
• Complete 18 training hours per year per regulations.
