Job summary

American Foods Group, LLC is hiring for a carcass and carcass parts sorter. The role focuses on separating normal from abnormal carcasses, heads, and viscera while ensuring compliance with FSIS regulations.

The position requires alert observation, knife handling skills, and the ability to work in varied temperatures. Training and ongoing education are provided, with opportunities to train others as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum education with HS diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality preferred.
• Training provided for Beef Modernization and straight knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe, palpate, and incise carcass parts to identify abnormalities.
• Perform preparation cuts and presentation activities.
• Follow FSIS regulations and company procedures.
• Notify supervisors if disease or defects are suspected.
• Attend hire training and annual refreshers; may train others.
• Additional duties as needed to support operations.
