Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC an American Foods Group Company in Long Prairie, Minnesota, is seeking a QA Sorter Lead to oversee carcass and carcass part sorting, identify defects, and supervise QA sorters while supporting training.

This role focuses on safety, quality, and productivity in the QA Sorter department, with responsibilities including training, covering for absences, and coordinating with online inspectors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in varied temperatures and around moving equipment with PPE.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist the QA Sorter department.
• Control day-to-day QA Sorter activities per schedules and specifications.
• Cover QA Sorter duties when needed.
• Train employees in QA sorter areas.
• Ensure safety and productivity of production employees in designated areas.
• Provide leadership, knowledge, motivation, and support to staff.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and proper operation of equipment.
• Evaluate department performance and take corrective actions.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Assist meetings.
